How we handle the information you send us
This notice explains what happens when you use the enquiry form or the monthly note form on this website. It is written in ordinary language for readers in Singapore. Last updated: 2026.
Who we are
Smartdatafinance is a finance analytics practice based at 138 Market Street, #26-03, CapitaGreen, Singapore 048946. You can write to [email protected] or telephone +65 6812 4093. We are the organisation that decides why the forms exist and how a message is read.
What the two forms collect
The main enquiry form collects your name, email address, and a message. Company, telephone and topic are optional and are used only to reply more accurately. A consent box records that you agree to be contacted about that enquiry. Hidden technical fields catch automated posts: an empty honeypot and a timestamp. They are not used to profile you.
The monthly finance note form collects an email address and a consent box. It exists so we can send one short email a month on reporting practice, forecasting and the numbers that move decisions. You can stop that email by writing to the address above.
Form submissions are not stored on the server
When you submit either form, the server checks that the fields meet the published rules and then discards the contents. Nothing is written to a file or a database on the machine that hosts this website. There is no “could not send” archive. If we reply, we do so from the inbox attached to [email protected], using the address you typed. That inbox is a normal business mailbox, not a marketing platform.
Lawful basis and the PDPA
Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) asks us to collect only what we need, to tell you why, and to look after it. For the enquiry form we rely on your consent, given by the checkbox, and on the fact that you have asked us to reply. For the monthly note we rely on the consent checkbox. We do not sell contact details. We do not use the forms to build a lookalike audience. We do not pass a form submission to a software vendor as a lead.
If we later enter a paid engagement, that work is governed by a written proposal and, where needed, a separate confidentiality or data-processing schedule. This website notice does not try to cover the ledgers and forecasts we see during an engagement; those stay in systems you own, as the approach page describes.
Retention
Because the website does not store submissions, there is no server-side form archive to delete. Email that reaches the practice inbox is kept for as long as we need it to finish the conversation you started, and then in the ordinary course of business email. If you ask us to delete a thread, write to [email protected] and we will say what we can remove from the mailbox.
Cookies and other sites
This site sets one cookie, sdf_consent, to remember whether you accepted or declined the cookie notice. No analytics or advertising cookies load before that choice, and this site does not load analytics or advertising cookies after it either. The cookie notice page explains how to withdraw the choice. The map on the contact page is a Google Maps embed; if you load that page, Google may set its own cookies under its terms. That embed is the only third-party frame we publish.
How to contact us about your data
Write to [email protected] with the word “privacy” in the subject if you want to ask what we hold in the mailbox, to withdraw consent for the monthly note, or to make a request under the PDPA. We will reply within one working day to say we have the message, and then within a reasonable period for a request that needs a search of the inbox.
